Last summer I finished a book and the first thing I thought was “I am so jealous of whoever gets to read this book for the first time.” That’s how you know it was a great book! I feel like if you are looking to get into reading, or get out of a reading slump these 5 star books I wish I could read again for the first time will do the trick!
5 Star Books I Wish I Could Read Again For The First Time
You With A View by Jessica Joyce: I was hooked from the first page which does not always happen for me. I love Jessica’s writing and her character development and this book got me in all the feels. Truly the best book I have read possibly ever. She
Heartless by Elsie Silver: I loved the entire Chestnut Springs series but Heartless was my absolute favorite of them. Cade and Willa are amazing and I love Willa as a strong female main character as well.
The Idea Of You by Robinne Lee: I have talked about this book endlessly and the film comes out in just a few weeks. I can’t wait to see if it holds up to the book. This is such a great love story but there are definitely sad parts to it.
Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren: One of my favorite reads of 2022! This is a wonderful second chance romance which is my favorite trope to read. I love the flashbacks to their childhood and present.
Maybe In Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid: My favorite TJR book hands down. I love the Sliding Doors esque storyline and seeing how she ends up no matter which choice she makes. Such a great book if you’ve ever wondered “What If?”
What is a 5 star book you wish you could read again?
I really feel this post deeply. There are a few books I’ve read that I wish I could experience for the first time again. It’s so magical when you discover a really good book for the first time!
I’m a huge fan of Taylor Jenkins Reid – she’s an amazing author! I’m definitely checking out Maybe in Another Life! Thanks for the suggestion!
Reading a book for the first time is indeed completely different, but perhaps in a few years, when you start to forget what they were about, you can read them again with a newfound curiosity
I’ve never read any of these books. They all seen interesting and I love to read, so perhaps I’ll check them out.
I am a fan of both Taylor Jenkins Reid and Christina Lauren. Their books are just so entertaining and wonderful to read! I’ll have to check out You with a view.

I know what you mean about wishing to read again for the first time…But still, I would re-read them.
To be honest, I have no idea what a “5 star book” is. Is it some kind of reading club? But I do understand the desire to experience reading a book for the first time again.
I haven’t read or watched “The Idea Of You” by Robinne Lee, but it sounds intriguing. I want to see the movie.
It’s always great to come across books that leave a lasting impression and make you wish you could experience them again for the first time. These 5-star book recommendations seem like a great way to get into reading or out of a reading slump.
Thank you for these fantastic book suggestions. I can read a book twice if there’s been a long pause between readings. There are some books that I come back to frequently.
This is a wonderful list. I feel the same way about Love and Other Words. I enjoyed it.
I am yet to read the book, The Idea of You. Hopefully, I can finish it before the movie comes out.
That’s interesting, new book names were on the list the first time I knew about them. They seem worth reading. I’m saving this list.
I am really fond of these books also. It has a great storyline and very inspirational to the point you can have a lot of learning at the end of your reading.
